We stayed at parsons for three nights in the white room. We cant get over it! Davids hospitality and care for what he does is amazing. So many options for breakfast yet the breakfast trifle and scrambled eggs are so good I had them everyday. Thoughtful touches like a teapot of tea delivered to your door every morning and a daily room clean. Never experienced such a great stay away from home. Better than any hotel Ive been to.

Rooms: There are 2 rooms on offer. We stayed in the downstairs room which has a woodchip burner, exposed pipes, narrow wardrobe for hanging clotheswidth ways, large comfy bed, lamps, chest of draws and 2 chairs. The owner used to be an interior designer and you can see perfection in everything done here. Dark curtains frame the bed, antique lamps and dark wooden floors give this room character. Nearby activities: Hartington is a beautiful village with independent convenience stores, gift shop, cheese shop a pub and hotel. There are plenty of walks and bike rides to be had locally.

Had a lovely couple of nights at Parsons House, lovely breakfast, freshly made early morning tea and charming host. The bedroom has quirky with very interesting decor, in the bathroom I felt I was on a Still Life painting . Location was great for our purposes, two pubs in the village and beautiful hills around. Just adding this, I forgot to mention the lovely breakfast trifle, yogurt, toasted oats and delightful fresh berries in a super presentation

I stayed here with someone else who made the booking. David was an excellent host, I can't fault him. But as a B&B, where all you do is sleep and have breakfast, I didn't find the room great. The bed was hard, the decor was terrible and there was no shower. There was enough hot water for one hot bath and one slightly warm bath. When two of you need a bath, that's not good. There was also no WiFi in the room, despite being given a password - it didn't work.
