        We had our first Seafood Platter from Tarbetts for our Christmas Day meal this year and it was absolutely perfect. Geneous portions of each delicacy and each was as good an example of their kind as we have ever had. Simply Delicious!

        Hidden down a side street in the centre of Harrogate, you will find two of the best "Foodie" locations in the town ..... "The Cheeseboard" and "Tarbett's Fishmongers". Beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, professionally prepared fish and seafood. Everything from smoked haddock and cod to plaice and monkfish ..... Potted shrimps and creviettes to crab and lobster ..... You will find it all. Additionally, they will always try and source special orders for you given enough time. I bought salmon fillets last time which were only slightly more expensive than supermarket .... However, the quality was superb. Didn't inform our guests, but suddenly the lady asked where I had purchased the incredible tasting salmon .... Her husband also then commented that the texture was beautiful. It was. They arranged to go into the shop on the way back to London armed with a cooler bag and ice! If you are local, they deliver which I find very handy.
