Purchased a compact motorhome from this trader. No communication from when the deposit was taken. Arranged to pick up the vehicle with 10 days notice. Had to ring the day before just to make sure it was still ok to collect. Was told we could only pick up from 2pm as the camper was having work done to it. He WAS busy organising a local trade fair, if I heard it this excuse once, I heard it several times. As we had travelled almost 100 miles this was an inconvenience that could have been avoided if James had the professional courtesy of keeping in touch. Slight rattle on the exhaust which I had checked and was a loose bracket. The vehicle was advertised with 12 months warranty, which we still havent received a copy of, or the log book registered to me. If you text James, the reply reverts with exclamation marks which is both ignorant and not best use of punctuation. I am just going to let trading standards deal with my issues as he really cant be bothered, along with advertising trading standards for the promise of warranty that is probably non existent.. I did at least screenshot a copy of the advertisement. I dont usually review anything, as Ive never had a reason to. If I could give zero stars, then thats what they would get. There are a lot of competitors out there so shop around. I do believe there are worse reviews for Steve Mann Caravans, that I have read. If good customer service and after sales service is what gives you peace of mind .. you wont get it here sadly.

We were pleased with our new motorhome and the customer service received from Steve Mann Caravans and so when we decided to sell the motorhome about 16 months later we asked James Mann to do this for us and agreed terms which included receiving the balance of the proceeds 30 days after the date of sale. The motorhome sold in a couple of weeks for a good price and so we were of course pleased about this. However, it was 8 weeks beyond the agreed date before all our money was paid to us (and it arrived in instalments during that time). This uncertainty proved stressful, hence the 1* rating. Subsequently we have received a generous compensation payment for which we are very grateful.
