We were recently recommended to contact Newtons solicitors by a lady who works at Eccles Heddon in Ripon, as unfortunately they hadnt the capacity to help us in the time frame we needed. It so happened that my phone call was initially answered by Natalie Dorset, who was extremely polite and pleasant on the phone, and who also gave me good advice clearly and patiently. Some time later we realised that we needed to seek professional advice, and Natalie arranged for my wife Carole and me to have a consultation with Ruth Cockshott, after we had given Natalie written details of our litigation case against a contractor who had badly let us down, yet was insisting taking us to court over our disputed claim. We met Ruth yesterday; she had obviously spent much time reading the notes I had left with Natalie, and had written copious notes for our defence. Ruth went to great lengths to lead and guide us through each point, and found several flaws in the claimants statement which we were not aware of. As the meeting progressed I could feel the clouds of anxiety lifting from my mind, totally confident in what Ruth was telling us. Ruth, honestly we cannot thank you enough for all your time, energy and first class advice which you gave us in such a friendly and east to understand manner. We are so, so pleased to have met you both and could not have asked for more professional treatment delivered with a smile. I needed to rewrite and update my last Will and Testament. I made an appointment with Newtons at the Stokesley office, were my original Will had been prepared. Alison Brown handled my affairs, ensuring the complicated details of my Will progressed smoothly, efficiently and professionally. I would certainly recommend Alison to look after your affairs. A fantastic experience using Charlotte Bailes and Meryn Astwood. Both went out of their way due to some bumps along the road, as such their expertise was a huge help to ensure everything went smoothly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Newtons.
