Rooms: So very clean, lovely bathroom (shower was a little on the slow side). Nearby activities: Very close to all the local town centre amenities and just opposite a lovely park. Safety: All great - felt safe and we were able to park the car right outside. Walkability: Great location for the town centre Food & drinks: First class breakfast, freshly cooked to order. Couldn't fault.

ust stayed for 3 nights at this excellent B&B. Roy and Chris are such lovely hosts. We stayed in room 3, a very large room overlooking the Valley Gardens. It had a very comfortable King sized bed, two easy chairs and a table, loads and loads of storage. There were fresh roses on the dressing table and 4 pieces of fruit in a fruit bowl- lovely touch. There was an ensuite, with lovely fluffy white towels. A hairdrier is provided, tea and coffee facilities: we were given the largest amount of tea, coffee, milk and sugars ever. There were also biscuits left each day. The breakfast was excellent with high quality produce. The melange of fruit was so beautiful. The Dales is in a prime location. We parked the car- free parking permit for each day of our stay!- and walked everywhere. The Turkish Baths is a must, Valley Gardens opposite is such a beautiful park with plenty to do for young children. The Pump Room is also interesting. We walked to Harlow Carr, RHS gardens, took about 20 mins through pretty woods. Really worth a visit. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance too. We would thoroughly recommend The Dales and thank Chris and Roy for their hospitality.
