Bought a Volvo XC60 ,from my car and finance in knaresborough. The advert stated and I quote "car in excellent condition with service history, this car has clearly been well looked after ,with excellent tyres all round and service history." Purchased in good faith after such a sell in the advert, in July 2022 (but 1month and 10 days later) in August 2022 the engine went bang the cambelt SO proven to be NOT WELL MAINTAINED, NO SERVICE HISTORY GIVEN AND TWO BALD ILLEGAL TYRES ON THE FRONT which we found out when getting picked up by the tow truck.....we are covered under parliamentary law, by the consumer rights act 2015 ,as the car is not fit for purpose , the car isn't of a satisfactory quality and the car definitely is not as described in it's advert!!! Because this car doesn't live up to the expectations of the advert etc...the car dealer Mr Richard Proctor (from my car and financing) is required by the consumer rights act 2015 to resolve by one of the following REPAIR the car, REIMBURSE US , REPLACEMENT ... this eijit gave me a Goodwill gesture of a pitiful 300.00 when I need a new engine replacement !and two new tyres or my money back I only want what I'm entitled to. So to court we are going as he is refusing to do the right thing and acting like an ostrich with it's head in the sand. DON'T GET ROBBED BY THIS CAR DEALER LIKE WE HAVE BEEN. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Customer service ,after sales are not his strongest point only interested in money . Wish we'd never met him.
