Terribly unreliable. All the BPFailmaster chargers were down in Ashford so I drove 16 miles and these were not working either. Customer service rebooted one, before dropping the call. Then I managed to get the other to accept payment from my phone. It wouldn't accept my cards. It doesn't help that the machine has a big screen, that says follow the instructions on the tiny card reader LCD, one card reader has a busted screen, the other is in German. I can order food and drink, but I couldn't understand the instructions. In the summer none of these screens work at all. I think the heat from direct sunlight stops the screen from working. If only the scientists in BP could invent some sort of screening to shade the machines. Or a roof suspended over them. It's probably far too complex for them. It is my opinion that BP are not interested in maintenance of EV infrastructure, just the tax payers money in grants to dump these things behind their petrol stations and pull our pants down at 79p/kwh. Food in the shop is as expensive as motorway services, without anywhere to sit or walk around. Getting from the chargers to the shop, you have to shimmy past cars being fueled as there is no room for a walkway. I am not sure what a wheelchair user is supposed to do if they're using the chargers. Find a way around the cars and pumps I guess. No wonder the staff are miserable.

Have used this many times and always worked with my BP pulse RFID tag. Never used another way of payment so can't comment on those. The layout of the car park is a bit tricky if you want o reverse into the bays. There is not much room to reverse into the end space and you have to turn around at the end of the car park and reverse all the way down. As it's not the biggest car park, I have seen one space ICED once and this could be a common occurrence at busy times.

When I wanted to leave the machine made me authorise stopping the charge on my phone, but the BP Pulse app didn't register that I was charging the car. This meant the charger was locked in and would not stop charging past the point I wanted it to. I have to phone customer service, sit on hold then have someone remotely unlock the charger from my car. You also HAVE to download the BP app before you can charge, no way to charge without creating an account and crediting that account. It's just so much easier elsewhere, don't bother.

Legitimately fast chargers, they need to add these to all petrol stations!
