Bought a luxury home from Clarendon's. At all stages we were kept informed and consulted on the options available to us. It's a little disappointing that the house was still being worked on externally when we collected the keys at lunchtime on completion day, and over three weeks later we still don't have a working electric garage door. Of course there are various other minor issues, but this is to be expected with any new build and they are being rectified. Overall we are happy with our purchase and with the service we received from Clarendon's. EDIT - 24 Jan - Sadly I am forced to change this review. Nearly three months on from our purchase and our garage door is still not working. We also now have a severe damp problem in the garage, with mould already growing on the walls and any items we have stored in the garage (pics now removed). The rear wall of the garage is built into the hillside and it seems that there is insufficient (on non-existent) damproofing, allowing moisture to seep through the wall, causing the damp. This issue was reported some time ago and Clarendon's seem to be taking a long time fixing it. I am getting to the stage now where I wish I had never bought a property from Clarendon's - I think it's extremely unlikely I would do so again. FURTHER EDIT - 14 Mar - It seems that the damp problem in the garage has now been resolved, simply by adding plenty of ventilation (there was none before). The suggestion in my previous edit of insufficient dampproofing - which now appears to be false - was based on a report by the roofing contractor, who had failed to install the ventilation originally. The contractor's fault, not Clarendon's. Services: Flooring, Interior finishing, Roof installation, Design, Electrical work, Tile work installation, Fan installation, Luxury home building, Garage design & building, Garage construction, Paint indoors, Exterior finishing, Concrete pouring, Foundation pouring, Waterproofing

Purchasing our bungalow has been a very good choice for us, we found from the start Clarendons have been very helpful and always had time to discuss any little problems that were quickly resolved by a professional team, the quality of our new build bungalow was impressive and the interior was of high quality, since moving here we made the right decision, and would recommend Clarendons to anyone

Visited a friend's retirement bungalow at Cobnut Park, Boughton Monchelsea. I was very impressed with the finish. The shower room definitely had the wow factor (could easily match those shown in beautiful home magazines) - tiling was floor to ceiling matching and very luxurious. The two generously sized bedrooms had high ceilings and there was a nice wide hallway. The kitchen was finished to a high specification and the flooring throughout was top of the range. Plenty of storage space in the generous kitchen and a nice large cupboard housing the heating equipment with room for storing household appliances etc in the hallway. The garden was a good size for retirement living - easy to maintain, with a nicely finished path down the side of the property and a nice patio area at at the rear as well as grassed area. The gates to the park give added security and a nice long approach from the village main street to the gates. The site itself is well laid out with good parking - it does not feel crowded as with most modern developments. Plenty of greenery surrounding the site and adding to the development's charm.
