A lovely, welcoming, friendly stable & riding school. Clearly a labour of love by all involved. I came to horse later in life & had was very impressed from day one by Green acres. Straightforward to get too (even walking from the train station if you don't mind the distance), reasonably priced, fantastic staff and facilities. I speak as a purely adult learner, but all through my lessons I was encouraged, supported and perhaps importantly had alot of fun! There was a nice mix of students too, which helped reassure. Perhaps the best thing though was the horses were fresh & great to ride. Previous places I had learned at, the horses were quite 'ploddy', not so here! Pudsey, Casper, Barney etc - all great horses to learn on with just the right amount of challenge for each level of rider. I wouldn't be the rider I am today without Greenacres or enjoy horse riding nearly as much. Do yourself a favour and get yourself booked in! Oh and the second best thing is all the friendly dogs, the parrot & the pig that roam the yard!

Started riding in 2008 with horse teacher Fiona with other riders my age. Very good lessons including doing hiking and fun Cross country, my confidence was improving a lot. But a few years later sadly Fiona left for personal reasons. However I wasnt happy when I got different teacher.. I didnt know her name, the hiking lesson was not enjoyable as the lady wasnt friendly nor kept her language at bay. Criticise of how I controlled the horse, apparently I couldnt keep up with others. I then left green acres Equestrian.
