My brother and I had a very enjoyable lunch at the Bridgewater Arms 29 April with excellent service yet again from Gareth and fellow staff

Took an hour for two drinks, food arrived late, cold and missing items. Every table around us was complaining of the massive wait. Staff horribly understaffed, they are polite but not enough people working there. This is not the first Time has been this way for months. We will not be returning.

Not really fair to moan. We had lovely food but as a member of our party had allergies it meant delaying meals so they could bring that one out first after cleaning the whole kitchen each time.. I feel for the team and my party of people and the young lad with the allergy as there was huge delays with food. My question would be is there no possibility of creating a sub kitchen to prepare food for people with allergies...most pubs/testaurants are able to manage this without problems. Maybe a rethink on this as allergies are out there and preparation to manage food stuffs without creating massive delays should be readily available. Or explanation first. Our young friend was so upset and was in tears on his way home knowing his allergy meant making people have to wait so long
