Nice area but accommodation in need of TLC - the lodge is attached to a large house on a busy main road, outside of which is a Sold board... the owners clearly haven't invested in it for ages. It is spread across 3 floors - the ground floor entrance is unkempt and the hall/utility a bit shabby. The 1st floor living area is a decent space but let down by 2 really uncomfortable settees. The kitchenette equipment is variable in quality & quantity. The 2nd floor bedroom is a good size as long as you mind the sloping ceilings but the carpeted bathroom is really dated and we couldn't turn the basin tap off properly so this just dribbles continuously. In spite of all this, the worst aspect is the lack of cleanliness - dust & cobwebs everywhere, whilst much of the kitchen equipment is dirty. Not what we expected for approx 850.... After we left, the owner accused us of stealing 2 coasters which we had simply put in a drawer!!!!
