The first time we used them, they seemed great. Then after a few years, the springs broke on one of the sash Windows. They said it was wear and tear and I accepted that response. We since used them a second time a few years ago and the same thing has happened to a window we rarely open. The newest installed sash Windows we discovered recently that the frame is being held up by tons of expandable foam. How do I know this? Because the blinds fell onto my head, taking the frame with them. The blinds were being held up by the plastic frame hiding the foam (not wood) they used. I feel this was rushed because they were complaining about travelling back to Essex and needing to come back the next day, so it feels like the job was rushed as they managed to complete it in one day. The metal hinges also bend easily and are not strong enough to support sash Windows. I used to recommend them, I now absolutely do not recommend them. I am surprised about the good reviews, because the experience I have had, and those who I am sorry I recommended, have not. Service: Window installation

I had a conservatory installed with Bennbrook windows in 2015. Not long after, it began leaking badly, with water literally pouring into my property and onto new flooring and even electric fittings like wall lights and sockets. After 7 call-outs during the guarantee period, the engineers failed to fix the issue. The company then closed. And I was left in the lurch. I continue to have leaks every time it rains and am struggling to find a company that will come and fix it. I would say that the original installation did seem to go pretty well, despite their extremely poor communication and project management (ie lots of surprises, and very little notice or upfront discussion of important decisions and options). There was a real feeling that they didn't want to own the issues i was experiencing and provide decent aftercare. This was particularly noticeable in the fact that Chris and the other owner repeatedly failed to respond to any of my emails, or to offer a single apology for the inconvenience and damage to my home, or any reassurance that they'd do their utmost to fix it. I was constantly palmed off to another employee who was uncommunicative and struggled to understand the key points and give clear information. I'm interested to see if they respond to this review to offer any resolution. I'd also highlight to prospective customers the style of response from the company here on Google Maps to other unhappy customers, below - just have a look. Would you want to deal with someone like that? It's almost like they want to get one up on their customers. Bizarre. Needless to say I'd not wish this experience on others.
