    In 2018 we had a full garden overhaul with another firm who ended up cutting corners and leaving us in a real mess. This included laying a path with no base layer, alongside an active tree stump. Within a few months the path had lifted. In July 2019 we employed the services of Greenmasters to rectify the situation by grinding the stump out and re-laying the affected area of path. I felt confident that they wouldn't mess us around because, similarly to the other people we had round to quote, they seemed quite sympathetic to our situation with the previous landscaper. Greenmasters completed the work in a polite, efficient and tidy manner. The stump was ground out one morning andthe path re-laid the following afternoon. One of the paving slabs was cracked in two, so part of the job was to source another one to replace it. In the end they were unable to do so, but promised to return once we got hold of one ourselves. The new paving had some further problems in that a fair amount of the pointing crumbled out within days and we ended up with a couple of loose slabs, one of which lifted outcompletely. We paid for the job in full at the time (over 1000) which in hindsight was a mistake. Now it's October 2020 (over a year later!) and we've not been able to get them back to fix/finish thejob. I've had no reply at all to recent efforts to contact. The prospect of now having to pay a third landscaper to come and sort this out is very frustrating. I despair! Update: Thank you for your response, it's worth me clarifying a few things. None of my review relates to the path lifting due to ground movement, nor does it relate to any part of the paving which you didn't re-lay. The loose slabs were due to the new pointing crumbling out, which I informed you about in an email in August 2019, where I also chased up about the replacement paving slab (for the cracked one, which was part of the job which you promised to come back and finish). In the end we bought a replacement slab ourselves as you were unable to source one. At the start of September 2019 you emailed to apologise for the delay and say that you had broken your leg. I informed you in the middle of September that we had acquired the replacement slab. I sent several emails in the months after that to try and get an update, but you never responded to any of them. You were advertising for work in local Facebook groups, and when I responded on there, you asked me again if I had the slab! (this is now many months after I told you I had bought one). After replying that I had, I didn't get any response. I understand you had an injury and then we had covid, but I believe I have been very patient in waiting for this job to be completed. I waited over a year to write this review. I think I've been more than fair in giving you time to come and complete it.
