Thank you so much Sandra and Darwin - I had the most amazing and rewarding experience today of being up close to your absolutely gorgeous owls (and dogs!). I cannot relay how much it meant just to spend time holding something so precious and beautiful and even getting kisses from them . Your knowledge was outstanding and I loved hearing the stories about you and your owls. Your passion, care and love is obvious to see and all the birds were beautiful kept - this is reciprocated by your bond with each of them and the interaction they have with you. It was such a fabulous experience and one I will cherish always. THANK YOU

My husband loves the owls so I booked this for his birthday and we really enjoyed the whole experience. Darwin and Sandra are very nice, friendly and passionate about the owls. We learned some interesting facts and got to hold the owls which was amazing and special. Thank you so much Sandra and Darwin.

Booked an owl experience for my wifes birthday and she was really happy with the experience, Darwin and Sandra are passionate, knowledgeable and lovely people and the owls are quite clearly incredibly well looked after. Would thoroughly recommend visiting, Im not sure youll be able to ever find a more relaxed environment to enjoy these wonderful creatures. If I could recommend more that five stars I would thank you.

We were on holiday in the Manor Caravan Park in August and it was on their Facebook page that they were having an open day on the Sunday we were there. It was their first ever open day so we didn't know exactly what to expect. What nobody expected was for the local press to find out about it and advertise it in the paper. As a result, when we got there at about 11 o clock there was a queue of about twelve people. The lady on the gate was very apologetic because no-one was expecting it to be so popular and as a result there was a bit of a delay. After a twenty-ish minute wait we paid our 5 entry fee (per person, it would have been value for money at double that). We were introduced to a charming young man by the name of Darwin who would be our host/guide for the tour. We were shown around the sanctuary's "family" of owls, they are so highly regarded by those who look after them. Each owl has a different story as to why it's in there and each one has its own personality. The depth of knowledge in all of the staff is astounding. The reason for the open day was to help raise funds for the feed for the owls, the price of frozen mice etc. has skyrocketed due to the energy crisis/COVID and to raise awareness of the sanctuary itself. They mainly do owl experiences where you can spend time with the owls, handling them and getting to know their stories on a one to one basis. Sandra and the staff also take the owls out into the community, to fairs etc. but one of the most fascinating things they do is take them around the care homes and hospital/hospices in the area like other places use dogs and cats. Apparently the reaction from the residents is amazing. I hope this hasn't put Sandra and the other staff off doing something like this again, it was a fantastic experience for the wife and I and we're thankful that we were there when it happened. Good luck to all at Happisburgh Owls, we will be back.
