Grove & Sons absolutely transformed our front driveway and we couldnt be happier with the results. David, Izuk and Anthony were meticulous in their approach, professional and incredibly hard working. Their workmanship is impeccable and they really take pride in what they do. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I cannot recommend Grove and Sons highly enough they are so good at what they do. From day one talking to them about my garden they have been amazing, we agreed an initial design and when they started we changed it definitely for the better. They work so hard, the whole process was a collaboration and it was a delight throughout the 5 week build. I am so pleased with the work that I am having them back as soon as I can to work on phase 2. If you want an amazing garden then there is only one place to go Grove and Sons you wont be disappointed. We asked Grove and Son to help us make the most of the garden ina new build housen which had a small paved area and path. We agreed on enlarging the existing patio, adding another patio plus some raised beds along with other minor works . There were three visits before work commenced to make sure we were happy with "our" design. I say "our" as it was a combined effort - we had the basic ideas and Dave and Izuk added suggestions on the back of their experience. On arrival the design was checked and marked out in the garden to make sure it was what we wanted, any concerns were discussed and ideas put forward to address them. Work commenced in pretty horrid conditions - heavy rain and then a two week cold snap but was still very well managed: a, Boards laid across grass and paths used to minimise damage and mess b, Bricklaying and slabs being done flexibly according to temperature constraints c, As a team (David, Anthony and Izuk) were excellent, working with consistent good humour despite the January cold. Communciation was a real strong point, regularly checking in on the original design and if we wanted changes. Suggesting changes if they thought it might appeal to us d, Strong time management - deliveries were all planned in, as was the skip, all to a timetable. It was a very coordinated process that got everything done on time despite poor weather. e, A couple of little "extras" which provided the finishing touches - recontouring and returfing the lawn to fit flush with the new patios, choosing the new turf to blend with the existing grass, using curves for the patio to blend with the curves of the flower beds In short they made the whole process as painless as possible and have given us a really high quality job, including the finishing touches. I would recommend the team highly, you won't be disappointed at the outcome. PS if the photos are underwhelming that is more a reflection of my photography skills than the work! The brief was to transform a concrete jungle of a front garden which had a hedge growing right in the middle of the space, making the old garden ugly and in-spite of its size not very useable. David, Izuk and Ant spent time with us to create a basic design, understanding what we were looking for in the new garden. They recognised that some of the features could only be properly decided during the build and then throughout they collaborated to develop these basic ideas with subtle improvements and suggestions throughout to realise a final, high-quality solution. It has transformed the front garden, complemented the house perfectly and blended in with the remainder of the garden and outbuildings. Even with the size and complexity of the work, e.g., digging out over 116 tons of waste, and ensuring the estimate provided flexibility to design some of the details whilst on-the-job, the work was estimated as 8 weeks, and came in within 3 days of this figure in-spite of working during one of the hottest summers on record. The quality of the workmanship is excellent, as was their work ethic and their constant consideration for our neighbours. It was a long, dusty, disruptive job needing multiple large lorries on site accessed via a shared drive in this small close, but all neighbours had nothing but praise for the way they worked. Even when we were on holiday, they continued to be professional throughout The terrace around the house was converted into a useable space. The grass has softened the front of the house and environmentally, together with the gravel, has provided natural drainage. The patio has made the most of where the sun shines at the end of the day, and the steps up to the house, both the front and side doors, were designed to make them a welcoming feature. Finally, the new fence and gates, one swing gate and the other sliding, have maximised the available space and framed the property beautifully. Brilliant job and I have every intention of using them again.
