My fourteen year old and rather worn leather suitcase was restored beyond perfection. The briefcase had seen its fair share of wear and tear over the years and thanks to Hicks I am still able to use it every day at work. They even exchanged the lock to which I no longer had the key. I highly recommend!

Had a terrible experience recently with some garments my mum asked me to have dry cleaned. First of all, payment is expected up front, which is fine if the outcome is satisfactory which it wasn't. Had brought some vintage wear including fine scarves (sentimental but also worth upwards of 800 pounds) which I expressed that they needed to be treated carefully and cleaned properly as they are delicate items. It is no problem if they didnt want to, but they assured theyd do a great job. When I went to collect, i was unable to check the garments as the staff created an awkward environment and were in fact arguing which was totally unprofessional. Needless to say, the scarves are now ruined, I have called to ask if there is anything they can do and they have fobbed me off to speak with the "manager" which promised to sort and call back. They have yet to do so. This has been an awful experience and I will certainly not be going back, they have reunited a sentimental garment of my mothers, and she like me will not be using their services. Avoid at all costs

Several items of mine were "stolen or misplaced" whilst in the care of Hicks Dry Cleaners, and despite telling me they were searching their facility for them and would reimburse me the cost if they couldn't find them, they have ignored all attempts at contact for several weeks now. They have dragged this out since June and being that it is now October and they are ignoring all attempts at communication despite offering to reimburse me the cost of the items, should they be unable to locate them, I have filed a police report and shall claim the cost of the items back from them via the small claims court. If you have any other option other than to use Hicks, make sure you do so. If I could go back in time and take my clothes elsewhere, I would do so in a heartbeat. UPDATE: Jan 2023 After 7 months, this is still not resolved. Mel from Hicks has been in touch but has gone MIA since the end of November, and I haven't heard anything since. I was told they needed receipts/proof of purchase for the clothes to submit to their insurance. I provided these and they said they didn't receive them. I provided them again and haven't heard a single thing since. As such, I have informed them that I will be following this up with a claims court filing. Can not stress enough - this place is awful. Wish I'd gone anywhere else but here. Service: Laundry pick-up
