Taylor Made Loft Conversions Ltd

This company took a deposit from me and signed a contract to convert my loft. They sent a surveyor round two months later, then, two months after that, when pressed for a start date, falsely claimed to have gone into liquidation. They are listed as an active company with Companies House, who confirm that they submitted a full set of accounts just two months ago. They remain in receipt of my deposit and have ignored informal and formal requests to return it. I am now pursuing them through the courts.

We had our loft done by Taylor Made Lofts, Worcester about lofts 9-10 years ago and have had repeated problems. Starting with poorly laid floor , wrong panelling on the en-suite, subsequent leaks relating to how the shower base was fitted and most recently and significantly the roof leaking. We have been informed by 4 different roofers now that the leaks relate to the wrong roofing materials being used for the pitch of the roof and the most recent roofer who has managed to get on the roof overall poor workmanship. The pitch is 8-9 % meaning roof tiles should not have been used at all. They changed the design at the last minute which has clearly contributed to these difficulties. The remedy is a new roof at significant expense. When I contacted Taylor Made last year they did not want to know. We are currently exploring legal remedies but since such a long time has passed this could be a challenge. I would invite Taylor Made to do the right thing and make good.

Great from start to finish. They used company VJM for design, a name I'd had recommended by others locally. Once started Chris and the team were superb, nothing was too much trouble. They were really patient with us with some changes in design along the way and the finished result is beyond our expectations.

Taylor Made were fantastic from start to finish. Our initial meeting with Frank was back in March 2018, the design/planning process was well managed and we were kept well informed at every step. With our baby due in early October we were keen for the conversion to be completed by the end of September and Taylor Made did everything they possibly could to speed up the process for us. Work started in August and we were told it would take 5-6 weeks to complete which was exactly right, we had days to spare before baby arrived. Chris and the team were a pleasure to have around, not your typical builders, very courteous and tidy, they cleaned up and vacuumed at the end of each day. Were so happy with our loft conversion, its now our favourite room in the house. We highly recommend Taylor Made :)
