Red Lion Handcross

Visited the Red Lion for Sunday lunch with my family and we were all really impressed! Looks like it has had a makeover since I last went a few years ago. Really cosy restaurant and it's nice the pub/bar is separated. Food was amazing. Great portion sizes and the food was delicious. Only very slightly annoying thing was we had to wait a little while for the bill. Other than that, excellent! We would definitely all go back.

Great little pub well fitted out. The team there really know what they're doing which is great to see. Had some snacks but will definitely go back for food.

Unfortunately the food wasnt great and the service was a little slow. My roast beef tasted odd and the veg didnt seem to have been roasted, it just seemed like boiled veg. The Yorkshire pudding was cold and the potatoes were dry, cauliflower cheese was also not great; the cauliflower was mushy and the sauce wasnt great.

We come time and again to this little gem and each time, absolutely love it! Parking is so easy - theres always ample space and its easy to navigate. The ambience is delightful; were always met with a friendly welcome. The food is fantastic, especially the dirty burger. Thank you to all at the Red Lion who make it happen. 5***** Parking: Excellent, easy to use and free.
