Have bought two bikes from Birdie Bikes and our experience has been absolutely brilliant each time. The staff are able to pitch their obvious expertise at just the right level for a novice like me. There are several closer bike shops to us, but wed always go back to Birdie. Great job guys.

These guys are good. I took an old mtb in for a fork upgrade a couple of months ago and it's riding really nice, the mechanic also tweaked some details. Nice job.

My first visit to Birdie Bikes was after a very unsatisfactory visit to my local Halfords. Being five minutes walk from me I went to Halfords in Sunbury to purchase a new tyre and inner tube for my girlfriend's Pashley. Firstly they didn't have the tyre I wanted, but I thought that a new tube would at least get her back on the road. It's many years since I fiddled with push bikes, and the choice of inner tubes is considerable. None were marked 26" x 1 & 3/8" so I asked a member of staff, and he gave me what he said was the correct size. Of course it wasn't the correct size, it was too large and after I'd fitted it it pinched up when I inflated the tyre, and I was back where I started, only 7.99 worse off! Somewhat annoyed, I rang Birdie Bikes, and the Gentleman who answered the phone assured me that he had the correct size of tube, and tyre. So I jumped in the car and drove down there with the wheel. Within minutes of my arrival the Gentleman had fitted the new tyre and inner tube to the wheel, and then came the pleasant surprise. The tyre was the same price as it is at Halfords, the inner tube was cheaper, and so was the fitting charge. What's more, the shop looks very well stocked, and the welcome was very friendly. It was great to find a local independent cycle shop, and I won't be going anywhere else for any future cycling related requirements. I'd advise anyone to use Halfords for car shampoo, smelly air fresheners, and the rest of the tat they sell, but to use Birdie bikes for all of your cycling needs. You'll be supporting a great local business.
