Kelly's Dance Studio

We are glad we found this place and can recommend it if you want to learn how to ballroom dance from scratch. Keith and Kornelia are friendly and welcoming.

We used Kelly's for our wedding and everything started well enough. The instructor was friendly and we signed up for a course of lessons and they got us through the first dance. However, I can't recommend Kelly's to others mainly because of the actions of the owner, we mistakenly made a 50 overpayment for our lessons, to which the owner admitted to, I was quite relaxed about this as he said we could sort it out at a later date, when our lessons concluded, I emailed him asking for our 50 back and was met with radio silence, I don't ever think we'll get our overpayment back. On top of that he also took an aggressive tone with me regarding the rescheduling of another lesson which I also found patronising (like another reviewer), it's done now and we managed to attend all of our other lessons, but my experience left a bit of a sour taste. Overall, good teachers and instructors, poor customer service, if I had to sum it up. EDIT: After raising this review the owner did get in touch with us promptly and rectified the situation with an apology and a refund of the money.

My wife, a colleague and myself dropped into Kelly's this evening to enquire about some dance classes. My wife was particularly keen as she had danced in this studio as a 9 year old and her mother had until recently been a regular dancer there with her friends. We are all Hampton Wick locals, so at the outset, everything looked very promising. However, when we started discussing the classes with what appeared to be the manager, we found him extremely rude, aggressive and patronising. He was especially patronising to a 29 year old woman when asking how old she was (as if that was relevant). He then insulted my wife by telling her to keep quiet after we had introduced our colleague. When my wife voiced her indignation, he got aggressive and patronising. We then left the dance studio. We will never recommend this place to anyone again. My wife is in her 50's and has never been spoken to like that. Avoid.
