NO stars - The owner was very rude to me! The story: I turned up at the park on a chilly day (ie NOT a busy day!) with my 2 young children and I had the audacity to sit at the BEST table (apparently!, so informed by the owner) while my children ran off to play. I was waiting for a friend and their children to meet us for coffee and icecreams, snacks etc (ie lots of in the cafe). Unfortunately my friend was delayed so I was waiting for an hour + (apparently! so informed by the owner) The owner came out of the cafe and shouted over to me when I was in the small kids playground dealing with one of my children to move my bags and sit somewhere else, as it was HIS table (NOTE NO SIGNS TO STATE THIS) and I hadnt bought anything!! Also note there were AT LEAST TWO other tables that had NO ONE sitting at them!! I was so shocked that he thought it appropriate to yell across a playground demanding I move away. A moment later my friend arrived so I (now reluctantly) went into the cafe to order the coffees etc and he refused to serve me saying, loud enough for the 2 other people inside to hear, that I had cost him business as people had come in and complained I was sat at the BEST table and they couldnt so had left (hmmm really????) One of the people inside even intervened as he couldnt believe the tone and rudeness of the owner, and his refusal to accept my business/. NOTE there are 3 black metal tables in front to the cafe which look like they do belong to the cafe There are 2 wooden tables on the grass area near to the kids playground that do not obviously look like they belong to the cafe - I sat at one of these Additionally there is a big stone seat/table 1) There are NO SIGNS saying patrons only 2) There were plenty of empty tables outside AND inside! 3) I did not prevent ANYBODY from sitting down 4) if you run a customer facing business, consider being friendly and welcoming instead of confrontational and rude
