We are all quick to complain but not very good at giving praise. I had a wonderful experience when needing keys cut with a lovely young man called Alfie who was very cooperative, kind and understanding. He sorted my problem. Pity there are not more young men like him these days. Excellent work and outstanding customer service.

Very rude, condescending and aggressive service by someone calling himself Larry - I cannot verify that name. I generally dont like to be lectured on quality and value of a service - I can see and determine that myself. This was just a pick up from a factory job, and less than I had expected - not his fault. But asking me to spend another 60 pounds ( for a shoe that had cost 120) just to swap an old heel insole? And why can this shop no longer do the most simple repairs in house? Everything needs to be send to the factory, even jobs that are objectively simple. I was lectured on all the work that goes into it - well, what I wanted was a simple option, not rebuilding the shoe from scratch. I also asked whether he could kindly do two holes into a belt. I was asked for a pound each - I kindly denied. I was then asked whether I dont want to pay for service. I do. And I would have, if it was for a stand alone job. But I was already paying for a bigger job and this was a tiny favour taking seconds. But this is how it is - a little friendliness, kindness and listening to what the customer really wants and you come time and again. One rude episode ( I was literally kicked out of the shop), and you take the time to complain and surely never come again - to Larry that is. He has a colleague on another shift - friendly, helpful - to him I will go again.
