Beautiful Church! Do look for the little anglo-saxon window.

St. Mary's Church, Hamstead Marshall is a beautiful grade II* listed building with historic Georgian furnishings, lovely box pews, an ancient west gallery raised on Doric columns with exaggerated entasis and a fine organ, an unspoilt and imposing setting atop a hill overlooking the Kennet Valley and a delightful and colourful millennium window which was handcrafted locally. It is usually open to visitors during the day and is certainly worth a visit.
