A great peaceful retreat to escape to from the rat race. Nice comfertable clean self catering accommodation with good facilities. Mobile signal on Vodafone and O2 was weak however with fast broadband and WiFi calling it wasn't an issue. We felt very welcomed and communication was excallent. There are a lot of stunning scenic riverside and hill walks in the local area. Would recommend a visit to Dovedale Park, Stepping stones, Thor's cave, Thorp Cloud, Illam. The farm animals are an added bonus and the chickens keep you entertained. The nights are dark and we managed to see the milky way and the Andromeda galaxy (a first for us). Recommend you venture out at night. You will also see lots of satellites which are easily missed if living in a built up area. All in all we had an excellent time and would throughly recommend a stay.
