Barracks Farm

I went camping with my partner and dog for two nights right at the end of March. It was cold and very wet but this farm had a camping field (the only one already open) for very good rates so we called and the farmer said we could stay. This is a working farm so the field isn't prestine, but then, it is camping so, who cares? The toilets are clean, as are the showers - 20p to work the hot water. I had a lovely hot shower for 40p. The farmer was so chilled and very kind. I would recommend this campsite to people who genuinely love to camp. This is not for prissy people who really need glamping, rather than camping. I will definitely return - there are lots of lovely walks around here.

Beautiful surroundings, amazing hosts( farmer and his daughter)! You are literally in middle of nowhere:-) gorgeous walks close to the farm , clean toilets and showers, make sure you have few 20p coins for showers :-)

Great campsite. One of the best no frills camp sites I've ever been to infact. No need to book, always availability. Showers and toilets basic but perfectly usable. 20 pence pieces a must for showers and other hot water uses. The owners have plenty if you need. Superb access to walks and bike rides along and around the Manifold Valley and Beresford Dale.
