Fitness First Hammersmith

Such a terrible place. Gym looks pretty, nice music, nice classes BUT.. Gym is always full after I finish work. No equipments. No space. So many people. It is very uncomfortable, especially that they constantly had issues at Sheperds Bush and members from there used hammersmith gym. Steam room - constantly too hot or too cold. Never right temperature, what is more people enjoy scrubbing their bodies inside! It's a comedy! People sit without towels. There is no hygene at all. Sometimes there are no towels where apparently they provide towel service, and when I said I go swimming, there was problem to provide me with two towels after I use gym and swimming pool. I always use towel at the gym for the hygene. Reception is hypocritic. I ve seen people not checking in and when I want to sit next to reception and wait for my friend, I am not allowed because "I will sneak to workout". I really don't like the vibe there. I ve heard cleaners gossiping other customers and receptionists talking about their private life. I honestly prefer to sign up to puregym next door, and not be angry all the time. Each od my visit was a huge disappointment.

Great gym. Love the lay out, new oly lifting platforms are lush! The staff is helpful and friendly. Best gym in the area!

Popped in for a day pass while visiting town. The man at the counter was really helpful and friendly, and the facilities were great. New machines and a well equipped sauna / steam room area. My personal favourite was the Cool-down above-head air blower in the Male change room!

Expensive! Not how it was before. Management of the gym is pretty poor & unfriendly (Lady Manager rude and more preoccupied of touching up her make up than the members needs, she is out of her league for London fitness first standard!). Somethings wrong with the shower few times not hot water! Toilets always dirty, no actual dust cleaning over the lockers and walls full of it, locker room always has water all over the floor, no tissues, towels dirty must be washed at a higher temperature or use a different detergent, no weight scales too!

Noisy gym with small and limited pool area. All very dark and atmospheric club, more disco sauna than anything else! Like all such clubs maintenance is an issue. You'd think they'd have a handyman on the payroll to do daily fixes but apparently not. Attracts a young and mixed exuberant clientele.
