Hambleden Tennis Club

I joined Hambleden Tennis Club about 14 years ago. Initially I joined as I liked the coach (Kate) and she was so accommodating as she set up a private ladies coaching group for me and a few friends. After a while, our group merged with other ladies of similar standards and firm new friendships were made. I can honestly say that being a member of the club has been marvellous. All the ladies I play with are so friendly - I particularly enjoy the social Friday morning sessions where lady players of all abilities come along for social games. We have such fun at the mini tournaments I organise and everyone is always happy to dress up and be silly! During this difficult year in particular, tennis (when it's been allowed!) has been a real highlight for me. I've seen more of the tennis ladies than I've seen of all my other friends put together! What I particularly like is that the club is not cliquey - we have welcomed lots of new members this year and they all have said how unbelievably welcoming we all are. Thank you to the committee for all it does to keep the club running so smoothly and for organising the laying of the new court surfaces.

Set in beautiful countryside with amazing views. New courts are superb and pavilion has good amenities. Friendly members and opportunities to play socially. I have been a member for 34 years.

Very friendly and small club in the most picturesque setting imaginable. New players very welcome. We have 3 brand new courts one of which is Tiger Turf, the other 2 are hard courts. Several mixed social sessions on Wednesdays and Sundays as well as a very, very popular Friday morning ladies social. There are also 3 fantastic coaches available.
