We commissioned Solent Marine Surveys to conduct a pre-purchase survey of a sports cruiser in Southhampton through a personal recommendation. The service we received from Guy and Louise was excellent, this is our first boat purchase, so it was great to have experienced people guide us through this stage of a boat purchase and respect us being new to boating. Once the Survey was complete, it was a pleasure to receive a call from Guy to discuss each of the key observations made during the survey and learn what we could expect to see in the report. We received a very comprehensive report promptly the next day, and it was fabulous to see everything listed section by section, clearly explained and accompanied with recommendations. We were buying a used yacht in in Southampton and needed a pre-purchase survey, after asking a few friends, we had a great personal recommendation for Solent Marine Surveys, Guy Nicholls. We had experienced great service, reasonable fees & exceptional communication through a whole process: from initial phone call, secured service within a week, follow up verbal feedback via a phone call on a day; full written report in 2 day, discussing the results on multiple occasions, following up with the queries raised from our insurer. We were very pleased with the dialog on the survey matters & trust we had built. The report was great quality, very clear for myself being not-technical person, and my partner being an engineer -could not fault the results! We went ahead with the purchase and currently are very happy owners of the yacht. We would most certainly recommend Solent Marine Surveys, Guy Nicholls.

Guy Nicholls carried out the insurance survey on our Moody 27 in Warsash on 4th March 2019. He was very professional and thorough. The survey that was carried out showed no major faults. No hesitation in thoroughly recommending Guy.
