We are delighted that the pub in Ham has reopened, with classy, relaxed decor and a friendly vibe. Have been for a couple of delicious meals with traditional dishes cooked to perfection and super friendly service

Stayed here for 2 nights for a beat the January blues weekend away. The pub itself is very nice. The food is what I would call posh grub and expensive but nevertheless it was tasty. The room was clean and tidy, however, a few things to note. There was no wardrobe or iron facilities here, the mirror was in a bizarre location instead of being over the dresser. The toilets do not flush properly, the handle was coming off which was so say fixed when we raised the issue, but noticed no improvement. The toilets in the bar also suffered with toilet handles being wobbly and not flushing properly. When we arrived we did make a comment re the noise from the builders as we could hear shouting and loud music. We were told it was works undertaken nearby. This was incorrect as both Friday and Saturday night the kitchen staff were extremely loud playing R&B or garage music way past midnight. They then proceeded to what sounded like, moving everything around in the kitchen, before locking up at 00:30. We did inform the front of house on checkout whom did apologise, but said they all took the opportunity to close up when we left at 22:45 and left the kitchen staff on their own until gone midnight making a complete racket. Overall the pub was nice and in a quiet and tranquil location. However what was supposed to be a relaxing and restful weekend, we both felt completely restless and disappointed that staff were not courteous to their guests for the entirety of our stay. Very eager to leave and get home.
