The setting is nice but the fishing was a little slow on the day I was there. I went last year for the first time and couldn't find the fishery to start with. The single track road seems to come to the end where the tarmac changes to what looks like block paving which I assumed was a private drive. It wasn't, the entrance to the fishery was off that road but there isn't any signage to tell you where it is despite it being just the other side of the trees lining the road. The only sign for the fishery is on a gate but it's only visible on the way out! There are no facilities there, no toilets, absolutely nothing. The only person I saw from the fishery was there before our contest selling pellets from the back of a van. On the Pluss side there were some decent sized fish caught during the contest.
