I see people saying that we should support our local post office, but I'm not surprised they are all closing down. The post office in Sowerby Bridge is always more expensive on postage for parcels than other post offices. I'm not sure why when the service is exactly the same. I posted an item and was charged almost 30 in soweby bridge. The exact same parcel on the same service to the same place was 25% cheaper at boothtown post office. I went to post another item abroad at SB post office and they wanted 90+. I refused to pay this and went to boothtown and was charged around 75.... are they trying to lift my leg? I have been to pay some Scottish notes into my account today and they have refused them, which again is really backward. They accept them at spoonys across the road! I understand that Scottish notes aren't legal tended in England but it's a post office! They accept euros and dollars but not Scottish? Guess what! I went to boothtown post office and they accepted them with no issues.
