I would like to thank the pharmacist and staff for helping me out with my daughters tonsils today after seeing you we did manage to get a prescription off our doctor. I really appreciate what you did for us.

Nothing but good service from here, staff are always polite and happy to help, there's a few negative reviews on here left by what I'd consider ignorant people, sure sometimes there are delays this is not always the fault of the pharmacy and definitely not the fault of the staff. So treat people how you want to be treated and you'll get it back in return I personally have no issues with the pharmacy and it's staff

Dont even answer the phone and when you go in theyre all just stood talking Im now on my 18th call so after my husband got to the pharmacy theres just a pharmacist and one young lady who was absolutely lovely and obviously must have to do everything. This pharmacy has really gone down hill and who ever is in charge should be ashamed of themselves

What great service we recieved after we had concerns over our 10month old being unwell. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the head pharmacist who was working Christmas eve and Christmas day. He went above and beyond to help us get the medication we needed. I cannot thank him enough.

I am very surprised at the positive reviews left above (fishy is the word that comes to mind) nevertheless, I was told that as a few other pharmacies didnt have an antibiotic in stock (and we all know its a national problem albeit the government says otherwise) I was told by my practice to pop in to this pharmacy to see if they had the antibiotic in stock. A lady with yellow and red hair, fringed, white lady (somewhat older), served the person in front of me. Granted pharmacies are busy, so I expected a little wait. The lady served the person, saw me, walked away and continued to dispense. All others had their back to me, so I thought Id wait, as she may have been in between something before being called away. So I waited and waited with no acknowledgement by her at all. In fact, she looked, saw me and continued. She even went to get her cup of tea and strolled past me without any acknowledgement whatsoever. What is more alarming is, another customer arrived after me, a tall, white male. She looked at him, came over to where I was stood, looked straight past me and asked if she could help?! The gentleman said, erm I think this lady is first, to which she felt she had to deal with my query with an attitude that was appalling. She looked at an NHS prescription and said oh its not ours then, indicating she had no interest if we werent registered at this practice/pharmacy. Pharmacies are obligated to provide nhs essential services but most importantly to treat patients equally. As apart of the standards for pharmacy professionals, this involves good quality care, good communication and professional behaviour from the pharmacy team and professional behaviour. To walk away with a script and whisper and say its out of stock right after stating we werent her regular customer, and point blank ignoring me is nothing short than incompetence and I question whether the pharmacy has considered diversity training? Theme 1 of safe and effective pharmacy care at the heart of our communities includes making decisions that are fair, and free from discrimination and bias and ensuring everyone has the access to care they need.. is this the ethos that the pharmacy champions? At a time where parents and healthcare are struggling to cope with unwell children and work load, racism and rude behaviour will not and can not be tolerated. Thankful for the person behind me who intervened and said I was first. I look forward to a reply. Luckily another pharmacy sourced the medication and we were grateful for their help and support. I would not recommend Ovenden pharmacy. I will be seeking advice and guidance regarding taking this complaint further. I hope this pharmacy can take appropriate action to prevent any other bame mother in my situation. Patient centred care that respects diversity and cultural differences comes to mind!
