Booked online & got in the very same day. Service was excellent from the chap behind the counter & optition. Highly recommended.

The lady on the Reception assumes she is doctor so they diagnose people without checking. I rang at lunch time about my daughter who developed a blind spot in her eye at school and after explaining everything to the lady as requesting a pears appointment she said she will ring back after speaking to optician. At 4pm I started chasing it up and spoke to another lady she then enquired the First Lady who took my call and asked the optician (male, as I could hear him talking to receptionist who was on phone with me),she then came up with, I have had a word with optician and he thinks it might be floaters, I mean wow!!! And also that we dont have any emergency appointments available. They diagnose people without checking them specially a 12 year old. The least they could have done was to inform people they dont have emergency appointments available, I mean I think specially when you have committed to the person. Thankfully the person taking call on 111 sorted it out with an hour, if it was for boots opticians then they magically diagnose 12 year old with floater. What a service!!!

Zohar is the optician that I always ask to see so lovely and helpful during lockdown she thought I had early signs of glocoma she sorted it out immediately I was later diagnosed with glocoma and now have treatment for it thanks to zohara

I have always been satisfied with Boots opticians, Halifax including diagnosing my son with Keratoconus, lately though you cannot get through to them on the phone, tried about five times a day for the last four days....they must be extremely busy and short staffed. I only want my new specs adjusting but you need to make an appointment now for that! Well I am going to call in on Saturday and just let them turn me away...I will be having words!
