I must say Jacqueline was a great host and would not fault her in any way. My stay was in mid-week and mid-April 2023. I was a single traveller this time and was staying in one of their single rooms, this room was on the first floor. My review could be influenced by needing a new hip. It was a good job. I was only on the first floor. Check-in was at the rear of the hotel (it did feel like a B&B, my opinion only) and was straightforward. Through a door Up 6 steps, turn left, Another 6 steps, shared bathroom at this stage ( shower only), Turn left, Up another 5 steps, Through a door to the right, 2 steps down, Turn left through another door (not the door into the bedroom), Turn right, use key to open bedroom door. Very handy having a sink in the room. It was a very clean room, with kettle, cup, glass, and coffee/tea facilitation. And a free bottle of water. The bed, I found comfy. I was above the pub area and directly above the speaker in the pub. Early nights at the pub, 9pm on Tuesday and Wednesday, not sure about Thursday as I got back after 10.30 and the pub was shut. (I stayed only the 3 days). I would probably stay if I was on my own again. It was OK.
