As described and more, we wanted our conversion managed with as little stress as possible. After initial design back and forth we left the build in Scotts hands. We wanted a loft conversion on our 1930s semi. We had no idea what was required or what services we needed. I contacted a few architects and explained what I wanted and said please help and advise what I need to do. The information I received from drawmyextension was second to none. Compared to other architect quotes there was so much information. The initial quote detailed exactly what I required in terms of architectural services, the fee's involved including planning application fees, structural engineer fees etc, a time scale list and detailed the whole process. We knew straight away we would go with Drawmyextension and we are so glad we did. At the survey we explained we ideally wanted a bedroom, shower room and ideally a small walk in wardrobe if possible. Then a few weeks later we received the first design options and wow, I was impressed. I had to idea what to expect. We received a 6 page document with 4 different design options, showing different layouts and options for the loft and first floor. We then had a meeting with the designer at our house to go over the plans in more detail. We decided on a final design and within days they had submitted our application to the council. All we had to do was pay the application fee. A few weeks later we was emailed our Building Regulation drawings and these was also submitted to Building Control by drawmyextension. The whole process has been so straight forward, I have been pleasantly surprised. We now have all the relevant paperwork and approvals and work has started on the loft. Thank you Drawmyextension and the designers for all your help, I will certainly send you some pictures once the conversion is complete.

We appointed Drawmyextension.co.uk in July 2021 to design and advise on a proposed hip to gable conversion and large rear dormer. DME have been exceptional, simplifying the process no end in what can be a daunting task having to navigate full planning and the terms of the conservation area. We have been granted full Planning and Building Control Approval for our project and we are now going through the Tender stage as we choose this as an additional service from Drawmyextension. We would highly recommend.

Despite a very positive initial experience when consulting on our conversion project and a speedy beginning to the consultations / visits, we subsequently experienced significant delays as well as lack of communication on the status of the project. We were promised a 'complete service' in which Draw My Extension would also support us with obtaining quotes with their approved contractors. Sadly this was never forthcoming and I am still currently chasing this information nearly two months after our plans were finalised. Ultimately I feel that once our payments were made for service the enthusiasm, communication and commitment to our project was lost. I have had to chase for each update / stage of the works and feel very let down. Emails remain unanswered, quotes for physical work are not forthcoming and ultimately I would not recommend.
