Bob and Mike were both extremely helpful and as a non-trade customer to what is primarily a trade counter, that was a nice surprise. Well done both of you!

I have been using Ridgeons or what is now called Huws Gray for fifteen years. I am a professional builder by trade and in my spare time I'm buiding my own house. A note to the 'management'. You are only as good as your staff and if your staff are demoralised and do not have the right training to help customers then things are definitley amiss. The smiley greeting is certainly a thing of the past. If you shy away from your roots ie, being a builders merchant you will cause to upset to those who practice that trade. If you want to compete with Hughes or other electrical experts then fine, but you have to be better than them although if your current attitude to building stocks is as it currently is you will fail in all directions. Piling one section of your large portal building high with electrical goods doth not a builders merchant make because what happens is you fail on the small important items and keeping track of them so they run out. Cavity closers, flooring PU glue, keeping a good stock of the most popular and up to date brush-less 18V professional Makita cordless hand tools (as you once were when alliged to Anglia Tool Centre) Out of stock items, all the result of poor stocking practices. You can't blame staff, or Covid for that matter, except that of 'management' for this failure. Are you are trying to compete with Howdens, Magnet and others with supposed better kitchen ranges? Why? These companies are kitchen specialists and the result is that I will refer back to; your poor stocking issue. Not forgetting demoralised staff. So come on y'all management have a good shake up within and get better not worse. Please.

My first visit to this shop in a couple of years and the staff in the shop seem to have lost all their enthusiasm. You'll get what you came for, but it isn't the great shopping experience it once was.
