Rachel Harrison has been a great help, easing our minds and sorting out a long running issue with HMRC. The tax payment for a capital gain had not been allocated to the right place by us and so HMRC continued to claim we had not paid, even though they acknowledged that they had received the money! Consequently they were charging us a penalty and it was mounting up every month into multiple thousands. It was a great relief to be able to get Bowker Stevens' help with the matter and it was settled within a few weeks. Added to that Rachel was able to show that we had overpaid a considerable amount which will be returned to us. Rachel was so efficient and helpful and was on top of the situation immediately and made a real difference from the very start, understanding our concerns. She was really "can-do" about the whole thing and had her head around it in no time. She was quickly able to get the attention of someone at HMRC who could actually get something done! We are very grateful for her advocating on our behalf.
