En route from Liverpool to London, I contacted Indespension West Midlands to ask if they could replace my coupling damper. With 30 minutes notice, they said yes. Got it done and went on my way after some very prompt and friendly service! Well done guys and thanks.

This is a review of the trailer hire service - not the shop, which looks like it has just about anything you would need re trailers... however: 1. I effectively had to use Indespension as I couldn't find an alternative trailer hire company. Coming in at 85 for a 24 hour hire, this was 35 more than three other companies I found - but they were based in Coventry and Lichfield. 2. Despite giving Indespension every measurement and weight necessary to transport a small sports car, I turned up to discover a very long trailer - twice the size of the one needed (they had exactly what I needed in the 'for sale' section.) So apart from taking longer to load and unload my vehicle, the worst part was that on arriving at my destination 150 miles away - I couldn't physically turn the car/trailer combo into the drive of the garage. The roads weren't particularly narrow - far from it. So we had to park in the street and unload the car there - causing several cars to be blocked and having to turn around. 3. The trailer itself had a winch - an absolute necessity. Being a former lifting gear engineer, the wire cable on this winch would have been condemned at my company. Luckily, the car was relatively light and I could take a calculated risk as to how safe the winch was. You may not be so lucky or as well informed tbh. 4. Finally, the hitch itself was extremely cumbersome to use due to its locking mechanism. To hitch the trailer to my car was a two man job - 3 hands on the hitch and 1 on the jockey wheel. I checked this when returning the trailer and sure enough - the sales assistant needed my help to unhitch the trailer. I've towed several caravans before, but never had anything that cumbersome. Putting aside that there were zero instructions offered (should they be needed) on hitching, using the ramps and the winch, the sales assistants seemed friendly enough and at least I can say that we got the job done. Additionally, taking my National Insurance number seemed a very strange way of confirming my identity (along with Passport and Proof of Address). I have never had to do that before and wary of data security breaches, I felt uneasy in sharing that information. So, in summary, I'd say that it wasn't the best experience or value for money that could, and should have been offered by this company, and 3 stars seems pretty fair to me.
