Very unhelpful lady I dealt with. Shall use a different post office from now on.

Very handy having this on your doorstep and grateful for that.Never had a problem here even if theres a queue your not in it for long. Ive always experienced friendly helpful staff.

Actually met more friendlier screws in the block than the witches of east wick perched behind that counter, Hard work to get anything sorted there if you need anything more than a stamp then just go to another post office and save your soul being drained by them Karens

I did arrive with only 5 mins before closing with 2 parcels and was immediately greeted with a rude 'we close in 5 minutes'. At the counter i said there was make up and perfume in parcel 1 to which the rude lady not even serving me called out.' Perfume is a prohibited item you have to take it out!'. I said it was a tiny free sample. She just retorted it has to come out. So i put that parcel aside as i had hand made the wrapping paper and was not going to ruin it. She added they were going to be late closing now (because of me) and they dont get paid for working over their time all whilst i was trying to fill out custom forms so i said i work for the NHS and supposed to do 40 hours but can easily do 50 and i dont get paid for those either !!! I filled out the custom form for the 2nd one and the counter clerk was processing it when the printer stopped working. He queried it with her and she came over and rudely said it automatically shuts off at 1. So i could not finish parcel 2. I apologised to the counter clerk who offered some spare customs slips for me to pre fill next time. So neither parcels were posted. I apologised to the counter clerk and the rude lady said she would unlock the door and let me out .. i joked 'so you are not going to bundle me out the back way then?' Honestly the lady had no sense of humour.... its not the first time i have witnessed her total lack of customer service. I left feeling really fed up... i went to Waitrose and realised i was shaking and shared my experience with another lady in the queue for the till. She laughed and said she never goes in there anymore as that lady is so rude and suggested Willingdon or the other PO in Hailsham. I thanked her. I will not ever go back to the main one again, some people seem to delight in ruling their very small 'operation' with rudeness and bad grace, and this lady is a fine example of that. The 2 stars are for the steady helpful counter clerk.. who i would have liked to give 4 stars to.
