I recently stayed at Combe Martin for one night and had a great experience. After a long walk with my bad knees from Lynmouth, I was quite exhausted and spent the evening in the room watching TV. The room was perfect for this, as it was stylishly decorated with peacock-themed wallpaper and bedding, and even an ornamental mirror Louis XIV would have been proud of. It was also lavishly provided with anything you could possibly need. I don't usually, but I decided to take advantage of the complimentary biscuits, etc. and soon recovered from my exertions. The proprietor, Andrew, was very friendly and welcoming, showing me to the room and seeing me out the next day with great civility. I highly recommend Combe Martin for anyone looking for a great place to stay while walking the coast path from Lynmouth.
