Sophie has a vast amount of in depth knowledge which she keenly shares in every single session. It is important for her to ensure you understand why you are doing what she is asking you to do rather than mindlessly following instructions. Her knowledge and advice on nutrition, and lifestyle changes outside of the gym also become part of her offering which makes the time spent with her so valuable in achieving your goals. She is more than just a personal trainer, my knowledge of anatomy, how the body works, what exercises do what, importance of nutrition etc have all increased dramatically. Sophie also has an uncanny knack of knowing exactly what mood you are in and how to motivate you, be it, push you really hard, compliment you (even when maybe you dont deserve it) have some chat. Her ability to read people and understand how important the role the mind plays in achieving goals is one of her great strengths.
My training with Sophie has changed over the 3years. I initially approached her to help me lose weight and gain strength. Within our first 4 months working together I had achieved the goals set out. We then set more goals which involved strength targets and lifestyle changes.
Our training focus then changed when I became pregnant with my first child. Through Sophies expert guidance and encouragement I was able to train twice a week with her, continuing to do all the exercises I had pre pregnancy,(just modified for pregnancy to ensure safe at all times) right up until my due date. I felt strong and pain-free throughout my pregnancy. I have no doubt the training Sophie and I did together during this period was partially (if not wholly) responsible for this.
Our training focus then shifted to rehabilitation post birth and I am now back to pre pregnancy style training. Throughout all my phases of training with Sophie, the programmes she designs (and she doesin great detail) are completely personal to my situation and goals at that time. These training sessions have become an important part of my week and that is down to the outstanding dedication Sophie provides.

Pre-Pregnancy to birth
Ive had Sophie train me before I was pregnant, through pregnancy and now the little one is over 14 months old Im still going strong. I was, at one point, lifting 75kg deadlifts at 8 months pregnancy which was heavier than my pre pregnancy weights. I owe my speedy post natal recovery and healthy little girl to her.
Post-pregnancy
My needs have shifted to gaining my strength back. Sophie spends a few minutes at the beginning of each training session asking me to move to assess how / where I need the most help. She is currently helping me improve my sordid posture bent over from endless hours working from home.
I feel great in body after each session with Sophie and my body and mind thanks her for it. She is thoroughly professional, her methods are deeply rooted in a comprehensive understanding of the human anatomy and tailored to you - above all, she is a kind and honest soul. I couldnt ask for more from a trainer.
