Went to this college for 2 years of my life. Wasted two years of my life writing pointless essays about basic stuff in the music industry, things that they teach in secondary school. Teachers dont really care about deadlines being met and rarely engage with the students during lessons. Furthermore, every lesson is the same. Theyll bring up a powerpoint which has been rinsed and repeated over the years and will proceed to vaguely skim through the slides with spelling mistakes resulting in a vague essay that we have to complete. I genuinely think that they let everyone into this college for music since the talent that some students have is mind blowing. Theres no consistency with the hours you have. One day youll go in at 9:00am and finish at 1:30pm. The next day youll go in at 9:00am and finish at 5:30pm. Massive gaps in between lesson for breaks, which in my mind is a waste of time. Pros about it however, is that you meet a diverse group of people around London/Essex. Overall, I personally have learnt nothing from going to this college for two years and wouldve bettered myself if I went to a sixth form that actually had a useful qualification. So if youre considering going here. Please reconsider and go somewhere else like a sixth form, which has an education that would value your future.
