Beautiful not very big ruins, free to visit and located just off the road and manageable hill up. Great views from the top, although fenced up. Information boards available. Richard Wincey established St Catherine a chapel of ease us at Parish Church of St Nicholas, Guilford in the parly 14th century. Its main purpose was to provide amos convenient place of worship for those who lived at some distance away from the main church. We have parked just at the bottom of the hill. (Mon-Sat 8:30 am - 6:00 pm. 2 hours No return within 1 hour or permit holders parking spot). There is lovely walk along the river Way near by too. If you like ruins and history, it will be perfect place to visit.
