The Angel Hotel

Our room here was beautiful and the location is obviously very convenient but that's where the good points end. It was freezing cold and we were constantly fobbed off with lies about the heating coming on later or a maintenance man coming. It took two days of asking just to get an extra duvet because we were too cold to sleep, kept being told one would come later. The shower and bath didn't work properly, they had no pressure and a limited amount of water. The safe was broken. The radiator was broken. No hairdryer. No WiFi, although it is advertised but it isn't actually accessable. The room wasn't clean and had had a dog in it so my partner had an allergic reaction and had sore skin the week we were there. We have stayed in lots of old buildings in the area and they were all definitely much nicer.
