Booked a table on line easily. Friendly welcome to us and two dogs. Very helpful regarding gluten free options. Service was relaxed but efficient while the food was excellent. Especially the nourish bowl and sticky toffee pudding. Would recommend. We sat outside but dogs also welcome inside. UPDATE: spring 2023 revisited with two dogs in tow. This time we sat inside. Dogs made very welcome especially our golden retriever. Food was great again and GF options available still.

Visited in a large family group for Sunday Roast. The place is nicely decorated, staff are very pleasant and attentive. My roast was reasonably priced, and portions were good. I chose a meat trio: Three smallish criticisms: 1. The beef was a little overcooked for my taste, as I prefer it pink in the centre 2. The roasties weren't very roasted and had barely evolved from a boiled potato. I much prefer them pre-boiled, and after breaking up the exterior surface, nicely roasting to a crispy finish. 3. The slices of meat were really quite thick (minimum of 5mm). I'd much prefer thin slices - which would benefit you too as portions would look more generous! Veg was good, as was the gravy. Overall, I'd recommend, but only 4 stars due to the explanations above.
