My radio code needed resetting for my old girl ( Ford Focus 2006). I had hit and miss information before approaching Group 1 Ford dealership in Guildford today. So glad I did!! Jordan was very welcoming and quickly got Alan (techie ) to assist in resetting the code. They did all this whilst I had a drink in their reception area! 10mins and all done. Super service, thank you.

Bought a new car from them 2 years ago, process was fairly painless but they "forgot" to sort out my private plates. Since then I've gone back as I need a bigger car, spoke to a sales person and explained what I was looking for and the amount I was willing to spend. He went off to speak to someone (this is a weird salesman tactic I've seen at all dealerships), and came back with a car almost twice the price than what I was looking for. Instantly put off I started looking at other manufacturers. Now I've found something else I realised the service department hadn't given me any record of the service, so I rang up and they sent me an invoice. What I really needed was the "Digital Service Record" (which replaces the log book, and apparently makes it all easier). I've been ringing for a week, can't get through or get fobbed off.

Eds on the phone, Ed's not in his office, Eds off today, Eds in a meeting, Ed will call you back; Actually he isnt, he is, he isnt, he isnt and he wont. At Group 1 Ford Guildford there exists a culture of avoiding the difficult but honest conversations with customers where it is easier to promise tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow your new vehicle will arrive. Honesty is not their policy. The culture is top down from a manager, Sumit Kanwar, who doesn't manage, too afraid to face an unhappy customer, unwilling to even speak to him on the phone or answer an e-mail. Ed is the Commercial Sales Controller, he does a good job of avoidance and because he is the only person who will discuss your order with you and the manager will not get involved you find yourself in an impossible conundrum. As the days, weeks, months went by all I required was factual information about the status of my new vehicle, when I did manage to get the elusive Ed on the phone, what I got was misleading information such as good news, your new vehicle is in a shipping container and on route as we speak, months later I could only assume that that ship had sank. Ultimately, 8 months after ordering the vehicle I was promised in 3 months, I took my business elsewhere and they will be pleased to know that I wont be bothering them again. Oh and they take a long time to process refunds as well. But dont let me put you off, if you enjoy being avoided, ignored and lied to on a daily basis then Group 1 Ford in Guildford is for you.

Just absolutely awful after care service booked my car for its first service was asked if I wanted to wait as they dont offer a car loan it would be an hour wait. Sat and waited from 12h00 until 15:02, no apologies for delay. My car was left in an awful state see photo not sure where the mask is from etc and no contact from anyone when the service was finished not even a goodbye. Disgraceful to say the least !!!!
