Used many times for alterations to dresses and trousers. Most recently they sorted my wedding dress alterations. I was quite worried as a previous (wedding) alterations person had done a bad job, so swift stitch were saving my dress! The lady was so friendly and helpful in discussing how it could be altered, and I'm very pleased with the result - Thank you, can't wait to wear it! Service: Wedding gown alterations

The team swiftly mended a pair of snowboarding trousers that I unfortunately split many years ago. They did a great job and prevented me from having to buy a new pair, costing a small fortune. Thanks for the great work and I'll certainly be back.

Honestly worst customer service I have ever encountered. One male staff told me last Monday he would get the alteration done in 1 day - charged urgent price. Went back on Tuesday, not done, told it would be actually take a week. The man (Im assuming owner) told me it was my fault and I should have come in much earlier if I had a problem. Proceeded to scream at me - I honestly felt like he could have been aggressive towards me. Other men who worked there in the shop laughing. Never ever had anything like this before - avoid at all costs.

The reviews of this business (Swift Stitch (Tailoring and Alteration) Limited, Company Number 10715260) appear to be very mixed. I have been using them for years and think I can explain why this is the case. If everything goes according to plan, then customers tend not to have a problem. However, should anything go wrong, it tends to get very bad very quickly, with the owner (Mr Bangin Araf) becoming extremely aggressive and defensive. To give an example, I went to collect a silk evening shirt today that I had left to be dry cleaned. The collar on the shirt was ruined and marked and the fabric felt stiff and had lost all its softness. I had only worn the shirt on two previous occasions and on each Swift Stitch had cleaned it perfectly. Something had clearly gone badly wrong this time. When I pointed this out, I was met with complete denial, followed by an attempt to blame another employee (who was not present). I explained that my contract for cleaning was with the business and not any individual employee, but this was not met with any counter-argument, simply with increased aggression and barracking. Initially I thought there might be some linguistic difficulty, but it became very clear there was not. It was a very unpleasant and unnecessary experience and one that I should not wish anyone else to have to undergo. I was asked to leave the shirt for Swift Stitch to attempt to repair the damage, which I agreed to. I am due to collect it on Friday and will update my review following this. Service: Dry cleaning
