Each time I pop into the shop the staff are friendly and helpful. I popped in yesterday and they instantly adjusted my friends sons brakes for me. They regularly service my bikes to an excellent standard. Thank you!

A superb bike shop. Toby and Ace Bicycles stepped in when another bike store I had an order with sadly went into administration. First class service ordering the bike and got it in really quickly. The collection was easily the most comprehensive set-up by Dan I have ever had with a new bike. This man knows his stuff I would definitely recommend Toby and his team at Ace Bicyles. And their coffee was something else that would put many coffee shops to shame!

I am a student with a hard tail mountain bike and very little money to spare. I needed a new chain, rear derailleur, tyre and inner tube. Dan Arbon originally quoted me 140 after I asked for a breakdown of the costs. I decided that I would be able to budget 155 to allow any additional costs. I then dropped my bike in a week later on the 28th of February to another member of the team who re confirmed my quoted price. He said that if it looks like the cost might end up being more, then the engineer would contact me to let me know and confirm if i was happy for them to continue. Instead, I received a call today on the 1st of march by the same employee who originally quoted me the wrong amount saying that my bike was ready to collect and that the next cost would be 179. I said I wasnt happy with that price, as it was 39 more then the original quote, and they also didnt contact me to let me know that like they said. The man on the phone then proceeded to tell me that the original quote was wrong and that it should have been 70 for labour. However, It turned out that he was the same person who originally quoted me wrong (Dan Arbon). Its hard to feel like they werent playing me and intended to quote lower knowing full well it would end up costing more. I do not recommend anyone who is tight on money to go here as they will mislead you and charge you a considerable amount more without clarifying. In the end, I paid 169, which is was still way too high- especially after clarifying the costs with my friends who are keen bike enthusiasts. Going forward, I have been recommended bike bros which isnt far from ace. So if youre considering getting your bike fixed I would go to them first. The extra 29 I paid was going to be my food shop for the week but now I will have to find an alternative.
