Ravens Ait Island

It was a nice venue, and getting a boat to it is a great novelty. It looked great and was set up lovely for the birthday party I attended. I do have some issues with the bar though, firstly no cider - bottle or draught was present, which is a little crazy. Secondly they were very slow and unorganised, all soft drinks came from 2L bottles, so even soft drinks took ages to come. Finally, I am certain they were overcharging everyone all night on purpose. My father in law was charged an astronomical amount for 6 drinks, which we didn't really think much of, until towards the end of the might I ordered 2 lemonades (remember they are from a 2L bottle of Schweppes Lemonade that yoi can get for a quid)and was charged 9. Needless to say I declined to pay and left the drinks at the bar. Also the parking around is very poor, we used a rent my parking space website but otherwise, it could be a bit of a walk.

Treated my mum to a delicious afternoon tea. The boat ride over was special. Really friendly team and its so nice by the river. The afternoon tea looked amazing and was delicious. It was certainly a wow factor. The only thing is we were in the main reception section and there was two small kids distracting the room banging spoons, making a mess and crying. Other than that our visit was great and really memorable.
