Extremely disappointed and angry with the service I received recently. I took a watch for its first battery replacement since I bought it. They took it and said it would not be an issue. When I came back about 20 minutes later, the young man who was there handed the watch back to me saying that he " tried" putting an new battery in but it didn't want to work. He said that it's probably because the watch was broken and that it would not make any sense to try to repair it as it would probably not be possible and might cost more than the watch itself (it's worth about 200). I was given "advice" to buy a new watch and throw this one away ( although it was a good brand and only 2 years old). I had a strange feeling that the man wasn't telling me the truth so I found another watch shop where they looked inside and showed me that the new battery was put inside but it was pushed inside so unprofessionally that one of the links that should hold the battery in place and connect to the mechanism was broken off. No surprise the battery and the watch did not want to work. Fortunately, this watch repairer was not only skillfull enough to replace the broken part but also installed a new long-term battery in another watch I had- all for only 40 only for both jobs. So if you need a good watch repairer or a qualified battery replacement person, I won't recommend this Kingston shop at all. I was recommended to visit the place as I had some broken jewellery the guys was helpful and knowledgeable and very friendly. Will be defo be returning.
